Abbey Bullock, MSW Intern
Hi, I’m Abbey!
Therapy is a space where you don’t have to have everything figured out. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and judgment-free environment where you can show up as you are, feel heard, and work through whatever you’re carrying. I believe you know yourself and your experiences better than anyone, and I see therapy as a collaborative process where we can work together to better understand what you need and where you want to go.I have extensive experience working with individuals navigating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, emotional disregulation, body image concerns, trauma, and challenges with self-worth. I’m especially passionate about helping people who feel overwhelmed by their emotions or stuck in patterns they want to change. I believe that struggling does not mean you are failing, and that meaningful change can begin with simply having a safe place to be honest about where you are.My approach is grounded in a person-centered and strengths-based perspective, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches. I especially value DBT skills for building emotional regulation, distress tolerance, self-awareness, and healthier ways of coping. Rather than simply focusing on what needs to change, I want to understand the experiences and patterns that brought you here and help you develop tools that feel realistic and meaningful in your everyday life.
At the heart of my work is compassion, curiosity, and meeting you where you are. Therapy doesn’t have to be about becoming a completely different person. It can be about understanding yourself more deeply, building on the strengths you already have, and creating a life that feels more aligned with who you want to be. You don’t have to navigate that process alone, and I would be honored to be part of it.Fees & Scheduling Information
