Checking Your Coverage

Understanding your insurance benefits can feel overwhelming, so we’ve outlined the basics below to help you get started!

How to verify your insurance coverage:
1. Call the member services number on your insurance card.
2. Provide the information shown in the tables:

Kindly Be Advised

  • Claims are submitted under a supervisor’s name as a standard practice.

  • If your therapist is supervised by Wendy and you have Cigna insurance, please use Marki’s NPI instead.

  • You are responsible for confirming your coverage—including deductible status, copay, and mental health benefits—with your insurance provider.

  • If a claim is denied for any reason, you are responsible for the full session cost.

therapy cancellation policy

Cancellation Policy

To ensure fairness and availability for all clients, we ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations. Cancellations within 48 hours or missed appointments (no-shows) will be charged the full session fee of $150.

This policy helps ensure our therapists are fairly compensated for their time and preparation, particularly when missed sessions result from last-minute cancellations or no-shows.

Thank you for valuing our time and helping us maintain a sustainable practice!

FAQ

    • Copay: A fixed amount you pay for each session (e.g., $20 per visit), which is set by your insurance provider.

    • Deductible: The amount you must pay out-of-pocket before your insurance begins to cover services. If your deductible has not been met, you may owe the full session fee until it is.

    • Coinsurance: A percentage of the session fee that you are responsible for after meeting your deductible (e.g., you pay 20%, insurance pays 80%).

  • If your insurance plan isn’t listed above, you may pay privately at the time of your session and receive a superbill—a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.

*Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed, so we encourage you to confirm your benefits directly with your insurance provider.

  • At this time, we have not had success billing secondary insurance plans. While you are welcome to provide secondary insurance information, we kindly ask that you do not rely on it to cover session costs.

We recommend confirming coverage directly with your insurance providers and preparing to pay any remaining balance out-of-pocket.

  • Should you have any questions or concerns about billing, please do not hesitate to reach out to our billing team at billing@gracefulhealinginc.com.
We will be happy to assist you in navigating the financial aspects of your therapy experience.
