Abigail Montoya, CSW

Hi, I’m Abbie!

If you’re reading this, you may be carrying something heavy—trauma, anxiety, depression, or
big questions about who you are and where your life is going. You might be a survivor working
to reclaim your story, navigating a faith crisis or spiritual transition, or struggling with self-esteem
and body image. Or maybe you’re tired of feeling like you have to “mask” or change yourself just
to fit in. Deep down, you want a space where you can be fully yourself—safe, understood, and
accepted.
If any of that feels familiar, that’s where I come in. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma
and PTSD, women’s issues, self-esteem, body image, and faith transitions. I’m especially
passionate about supporting survivors of sexual trauma and neurodivergent individuals in
feeling empowered rather than defined by their experiences. I don’t believe in “getting over” your
experiences—I believe in helping you reclaim your story and move forward in a way that feels
authentic and meaningful to you. I meet you where you are and aim to create a space where
you can show up fully as yourself and feel proud of who you are.
Outside of the office, I enjoy soaking up the summer sun by the pool or at the beach,
discovering new music at concerts or on the go, and diving into my latest binge-worthy show or
film. I’m also an avid theater enthusiast with a deep appreciation for the performing arts. I love
traveling and exploring new places and new foods, but that’s about as adventurous as I get. I try
to find the most joy in life’s simple, everyday moments.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and you don’t have to have everything figured out to
begin—you just have to show up as you are. Life isn’t always easy, and change isn’t linear. I
strive to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow at your own
pace. You deserve to feel confident in who you are and where you’re going—not defined by
your past, but strengthened by it. I’d be honored to walk alongside you on that journey.
